Description
A bronze skull, small enough to live on a fridge door. It is 1.3 inches tall, a fifth the size of the skull it was sculpted from.
Bronze has been the metal of relics, grave goods and ritual objects for thousands of years, and it gives this piece a deep, aged tone that reads less like a kitchen magnet and more like a small relic that happens to live there. The bronze goes all the way through. Real bronze powder is mixed into the whole casting. The strong magnets set into the flat back hold it to a refrigerator or any steel surface.
No furnace, no crucible, no molten pour. The bronze powder goes into liquid resin, poured into a mold made from my original sculpt, and every piece is then finished by hand.
Each one is cast after you order it, so the one you receive will vary slightly from the photographs. No two come out the same, and yours will be unique.
Beside the takeout menus, or alone on a steel door where it can be properly looked at. Collectors of the beautifully strange tend to find this one first, and it gifts well to the friend whose house leans witchy.
All three finishes appear in the photographs so they can be compared directly. This page sells the bronze magnet by itself. The aluminum and the brass are sold separately.
All magnets are made to order and take 3 to 7 days to produce.
Need more than shown in stock? Get in touch. I can accommodate larger quantities, just allow additional lead time beyond the standard 3 to 7 days.
